Virgin oil de Coco-Crème® was founded on a solid base of scientific knowledge and hands-on experience.

Virgin Oil de Coco-Crème® was founded by a group of three: a scientist, an agriculturist, and educator. We used our collective expertise, and our own beliefs about holistic living in developing our product. The project entailed a complete review of literature, an assessment of all available technologies, identification of quality measures, a long series of prototypes, and traveling through four countries to assess the work and business culture of the industry worldwide. In January 1998 after almost a decade of development and after overcoming many challenges, the word’s first virgin coconut oil was launched: Virgin Oil de Coco-Crème®.

Our goal: To make a perfect, pure virgin coconut oil and be able to make it consistent every time.

We wanted a pure, natural coconut oil; one that was clean but without being refined. It would be stable, with a nice taste and a pleasant silky touch. We wanted a versatile product; a product which could be used by everybody from humble kitchen to delicate personal care formulations to medical uses. All of these could not be achieved with typical virgin coconut oils, so we created Virgin oil de Coco-Crème® using Cold Centrifuge Series™. The resulting oil is versatile, functional, reliable, clean and beautiful.

Over the last 10 years different virgin coconut oils have come into the market. As people have heard about the high quality of Virgin oil de Coco-Crème® the product description is now widely used all over and the description centrifuged coconut oil has become the highest mark of quality. A few producers have tried to copy Virgin oil de Coco-Crème® by experimenting with different centrifuge system.

However, not all virgin coconut oils are equal and not all centrifuged oils are the same. There remains a mixture of science and art and a standard of care that goes into every production of Virgin oil de Coco-Crème®.
